The device allows children to manipulate partially hollow objects, including balls, cubes, cones, stars, cylinders, and pears, covered with various textures, such as "porous", "rough", "smooth", "hard", "soft", "liquid", "solid", "lumpy", "gritty", and so on, along the rods while listening to accompanying sounds that denote the related movement.
